Akihiko Tanaka, President of JICA, met with President Whipps of the Republic of Palau in Tokyo on June 5.
At the outset, Chairman Tanaka expressed his gratitude for the cooperation with JICA projects.
In response, President Whips expressed his gratitude for JICA’s longstanding cooperation and stated his desire to further strengthen their partnership in the future.
In addition, the two sides exchanged views on the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) General Assembly to be held in Palau this August, as well as on industrial promotion that takes into account the balance between the environment and development in Palau.
