United Airlines will establish new New Chitose – San Francisco and Narita – Chicago routes in the winter.
The Shin-Chitose-San Francisco route will be the first direct flight between Sapporo and the U.S. mainland, with three flights per week from December 12 to March 2027 during the winter season only. The aircraft used will be a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with a total of 257 seats. Forty-eight of these seats will be in the United Polaris business class, which offers full-flat seats with aisle access from all seats.
