JR Tokai and JR West will introduce “weakly air-conditioned cars” on a trial basis in some trains of the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen (16-car trains).
The survey will be conducted from July 1 to August 31 on “Hikari” Car No. 3 (unreserved seats). The survey will be conducted from July 1 to August 31, 2012, to provide comfortable in-train service.
Passengers on the subject trains may be asked to cooperate with the survey.
