TAOYA Atami, the first of its kind in Shizuoka Prefecture, opens July 18. A hot spring resort with a lounge with a spectacular view of the ocean, an open-air bath, and a seafood buffet

GENSEN HOLDINGS will renovate the Oedo Onsen Monogatari Hotel Mizuhatei (190-1 Izuyama, Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture) and rebrand it as TAOYA Atami to open on July 18.

TAOYA, the top brand of the Oedo Onsen Monogatari Group, features an all-inclusive package that includes dinner alcohol, lounge drinks, seasonal sweets, evening meals, and other services. This is the first TAOYA in Shizuoka Prefecture and the first “TAOYA of the Sea” in eastern Japan.

Located on a hill in Atami City, the hotel is said to offer a spectacular view of the Sagaminada Sea from everywhere in the hotel, including guest rooms, the lounge, and the “infinity open-air bath” in the newly renovated large bathroom.

In addition to the existing Japanese-style and Western-style rooms, the new lineup includes “Japanese bed type” rooms with beds on tatami mats, and “kids’ rooms” where families with children can spend time together without any worries, mainly ocean-view rooms.

Meals are buffet style both in the evening and in the morning, with all-you-can-eat seafood specialties unique to the Izu Peninsula. At dinner, you can enjoy sashimi of sea bream, Odawara oden, “bokumeshi,” a local dish of Shizuoka Prefecture, as well as beef steaks freshly grilled in the live kitchen.

Reservations for lodging can be made through the official website.
