The Shimane Tourism Federation and Rakuten Travel have been running a travel campaign, “Gurutto Shimane, Float to Hagi,” since May 18.
A coupon for up to 12,000 yen off the airfare and lodging package (ANA Raku Pack) is now being distributed through Rakuten Travel. The coupon is valid for reservations until August 14, and for stays until March 31, 2027.
Those who use the coupon will receive a “discount coupon book” worth up to 4,750 yen, which can also be used in the Iwami region of Shimane Prefecture, Matsue and Izumo, and Yamaguchi Prefecture. The coupons offer discounts on free hot spring baths, admission to and experiences at tourist facilities, and local delicacies.
The special website introduces two model routes: the “Shimane Royal Road Route” from the airport to Iwami Ginzan, Izumo, and Matsue, and the “Mountain and Sea Side Trip Driving Route” to Tsuwano and Hagi.
