JR Kyushu will release a new product, “JR Cupo Privilege Unlimited Ride Ticket,” which can be purchased with “JR Cupo” points, on May 27. The number of points to be redeemed is 10,000, and the product will be handled exclusively by the JR Kyushu Internet Train Reservation Service.
This is a special ticket that allows unlimited rides on JR Kyushu’s Shinkansen bullet trains, limited express trains, and nonreserved seats on local and rapid trains for two consecutive days. The ticket can only be redeemed with points for the full amount (no points for some point products).
The service area includes limited express trains, non-reserved ordinary and rapid trains, and Hita Hikoyama Line BRT within the JR Kyushu service area, including the Kyushu Shinkansen and Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen; the Sanyo Shinkansen from Hakata to Kokura and the Hakata Minami Line from Hakata to Hakata Minami are not available.
The period of use is from June 27 to all year round, and can be purchased from one month prior to the date of use to the day before the date of use. However, it is not available during the Bon Festival (August 10-19), the year-end and New Year holidays (December 28-January 6), and GW (April 27-May 6) every year, and will not be available on August 9, December 27, and April 26, when the second day of the validity period falls during these busy periods. In FY2026, the Silver Week (September 19-27) and the start date of September 18 will also be excluded from use and sale.
As a campaign to commemorate its debut, the number of points required is set at 8,000 points until July 16, 2012. To purchase tickets, passengers must register as “JR Kyushu Web Members” and receive tickets at Midori-no-madoguchi (ticket window) or reserved-seat ticket machines before boarding.
In addition, “JR Cupo Reward Ticket,” which allows passengers to use the Shinkansen and limited express trains on specified segments with points equivalent to approximately 50% of the total cost, is also on sale. For example, the Hakata – Kumamoto ticket normally costs 5,840 yen but can be exchanged for 2,500 points, and the Hakata – Kagoshima Chuo ticket normally costs 10,950 yen but can be exchanged for 5,000 points.
