Hoshino Resort Revises Accommodation Rules for Dogs at 42 Facilities Nationwide. Vaccination requirements eased.

On March 1, Hoshino Resort revised the rules for accommodations when accompanied by a pet dog at its 42 dog-friendly facilities nationwide. The frequency of vaccination with a mixed vaccine, which had been a requirement for staying at these facilities, has been revised from once a year to once every three years in accordance with international guidelines.

The change in the rule is intended to allow senior dogs and dogs with sensitive constitutions, who have been discouraged from traveling because of the burden of annual vaccinations, to choose to stay at the facility with peace of mind. The rule that dogs that have not been vaccinated will not be allowed to stay at the facility will continue to apply to ensure a safe environment for their stay.

The company has also newly started accepting visitors from overseas based on the company’s hygiene management standards, based on the quarantine certificate at the time of entry into Japan.

The company is expanding its system for accommodations with dogs from 2022 onward, and will not merely provide a place to stay, but will also promote the creation of an environment where pet dogs and their owners can spend time together in a relaxed and carefree manner by enhancing exclusive amenities, for example. The main brands and facility features currently covered are as follows.
