EVA Air to Upgrade Narita-Kaohsiung Route to 309-Seat A330 Starting Today. Significant Seat Increase Improves Access to High-Profile Tourist Destinations

On May 20, EVA Air upgraded its fleet on the Narita – Kaohsiung, Taiwan route with a larger Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

The airline has been operating with Airbus A321-200 aircraft with 184 seats (8 business class and 176 economy class), which will be replaced by the A330 with 309 seats (30 business class and 279 economy class), an increase of 125 seats to meet strong demand. The first flight was quite full with 240 passengers (plus 2 infants), 13 in business and 227 in economy, and the effects of the larger size were immediately apparent.
