Disney Resort Line will soon end the sale of magnetic tickets. One-way/free tickets are unified into 2D code tickets.

Maihama Resort Line, which operates the Disney Resort Line, will end sales of magnetic tickets (one-way tickets and free tickets) at 20:00 on May 21, and unify all tickets with 2D code type.

The 2D code ticket can be purchased at ticket vending machines at all stations in the same way as magnetic tickets. When boarding, passengers hold the 2D code printed on the ticket over the reader of the automatic ticket gate, which enables smooth boarding as in the past.

Disney Resort Line will promote the use of 2D codes for boarding starting in July 2025. This will reduce environmental impact and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by eliminating the need to separate the magnetic layer, which is indispensable when disposing of magnetic tickets.

In addition, transportation system IC cards (Suica, PASMO, etc.), which can be used interchangeably throughout Japan, will continue to be accepted as a means of boarding the trains.

The Tokyo Disneyland Station and Bayside Station (the closest station to the official hotels) will stop accepting magnetic tickets on May 18, and from May 19 to May 21 at 8:00 p.m., tickets will be sold only at the Resort Gateway Station adjacent to JR Maihama Station and the Tokyo DisneySea Station.
