The Air Self-Defense Force Miho Air Base (2258 Kosinotsu-cho, Sakaiminato City, Tottori Prefecture) will hold the 2026 Miho Air Base Air Festival on May 24, from 9:00 to 15:00. This will be the first time the festival has been held in about two years, since it was canceled last year (2025).
The gates will open at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event, and display and formation flights by aircraft of the Air and Ground Self-Defense Force will take place over the airfield. The Blue Impulse is scheduled for a walk-down from 9:45 to 10:20, a display flight from 10:20 to 11:00, and a walk-back from 11:00 to 11:15.
Other programs include a ground display (Air Self-Defense Force, Ground Self-Defense Force, Maritime Self-Defense Force, and Coast Guard aircraft) on the apron area, troop equipment displays, fancy drills, a kids’ train, and a merchandise stand. Food and beverages will be available at the stores and product stands.
The nearest stations are Yonago Airport Station and Nakahama Station on the JR Sakai Line, about a 10-minute walk. We recommend using Yonago Airport Station for Goto and Yonago, and Nakahama Station for Sakaiminato.
The Sakai Line will operate on a special timetable from the first train on the day of the Air Festival until evening hours. Please check JR West’s smartphone application “WESTER” for the schedule.
Cars can use two parking lots: the south parking lot of the base and the parking lot along Route 431, and motorcycles (motorized bicycles) can use the south side of the parking lot and bicycle parking area along Route 431. Both parking lots open at 7:00 a.m. and are only available for exit after 2:30 p.m.
The only transportation from the south parking lot of the base to the venue is the free shuttle bus (bicycles and walking are not permitted). The only transportation from the parking lot along Route 431 to the venue is on foot.
