Yamazen will sequentially release a new model of the DIRECT COOL series of water-cooled clothing, DIRECT COOL ProPLUS Waterway Type, from mid-May. The price is 25,980 yen.
This is a wear against extreme heat that cools the body directly by sending chilled water through tubes stretched on the inside using a small electric pump. The previous model cooled the body by water flowing inside the tubes, but the new model has a water channel-type structure that cools the back on the surface, resulting in a more efficient cooling effect. The cooling section also has a perforated structure for ventilation to ensure air permeability.
In response to the need to cool the head at any rate at work sites where helmets are often worn, a joint part that can extend the cooling area around the neck is included. The “head attachment” can be attached to cool the top of the head (main unit + 8,000 yen), or the “neck attachment” can be attached to cool the neck (main unit + 8,000 yen), where blood vessels are concentrated, efficiently.
In addition, the “Mizu fit,” a vaporization heat cooling vest that can be simply filled with water, went on sale at the end of March as a countermeasure against extreme heat. It does not require batteries, is easy to use, and is recommended for use as innerwear for fan-equipped clothing. It is priced at 7,980 yen.
Both products are available at the official Yamazen Biz.com mail order site, Kurashi no eShop on Rakuten Ichiba, and at some home centers.
