Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route launches “Let’s learn at the Nature Conservation Center!

To commemorate the 55th anniversary of the opening of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route and the 50th anniversary of the Tateyama Nature Conservation Center, Tateyama Kurobe Kanko released “Let’s learn at the Nature Conservation Center!

In addition to the rides and views of the Alpine Route, participants can enjoy a guided tour of the Nature Conservation Center adjacent to the Murodo Terminal, the highest point on the route, to learn about nature, culture, and history. Participants will also receive a 55th anniversary logo sticker.

The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, which connects Toyama and Nagano prefectures, is a mountain sightseeing route where visitors can take six different vehicles, including cable cars, buses, and ropeways, to enjoy spectacular views of the Tateyama Mountain Range and Kurobe Dam, which are 3,000 meters above sea level.

Reservations can be made for each section on the official ticket sales website “WEB Ticket,” which offers standard tickets departing from Tateyama Station (Toyama Prefecture side) and Ogisawa (Nagano Prefecture side), as well as discount early-bird tickets.

The “Let’s learn at the Nature Conservation Center! Web Ticket” is available on June 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25. Boarding time is from Tateyama Station at 8:40 or Ogisawa at 8:00.

The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route will be open from April 15 to November 30, 2026 (scheduled). Starting on June 1, the anniversary of the opening of the entire route, the “55th Anniversary Campaign” will also be held, featuring an AR experience that allows visitors to enjoy the scenery of the past and a special rally that allows them to enjoy the route with all five senses.
