Nemophila at Hitachi-Keihin Park will soon be at its best, expected to peak until April 25.

The National Hitachi Seaside Park (605-4 Onuma, Mawata, Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture) has updated the nemophila bloom forecast on its official website.

About 5.3 million nemophilas are being planted at “Miharashi no Oka,” and as of April 9, they are in their 5th blooming stage. This year, the best time to see the flowers is two days earlier than normal, and they are expected to be at their “best (seventh) bloom” on April 11 and “best” on April 16.

The peak viewing time is usually about a week to 10 days, and the spring scenery, which is all blue, can be enjoyed until around the 25th.

The National Hitachi Seaside Park can be reached by public transportation rail, bus, or car.

Between JR Katsuta Station and Park West Exit, Ibaraki Kotsu will operate a direct temporary bus service (April 11 – May 6). Hitachinaka Kaihin Railway will operate a free shuttle bus between Ajigaura Station on the Minato Line and the Park Kaihin Exit (April 11 – May 6).

Since the park is expected to be crowded on weekends, during the GW period, and around noon, visitors are advised to take a detour route to avoid traffic jams when coming by car.
