MUJI “Rechargeable Clip Fan that can be placed and used. Mini is carry-on compatible and can be attached to strollers, backpacks, and smartphones

Ryohin Keikaku, a MUJI company, will release “Rechargeable Clip Fan that can be placed and used” on April 8. They will be available in two colors, white and gray, at 2,990 yen each for the regular size and 1,990 yen each for the mini size. They will be available at MUJI stores nationwide and online.

The mini is palm-sized, approximately 10 cm high and 130 g in weight, and can be used in two ways: by placing it on a surface or by clipping it to a surface. For example, it can be easily used on the handle of a parasol, on the handle of a stroller, on the shoulder strap of a backpack, on a baby carrier, or on the edge of a PC screen, when out and about or in places without air conditioning. The product can also be carried on board domestic flights.

There are four airflow levels, including an “intermittent” mode that runs for 5 seconds and stops for 2 seconds, for comfort even when left on. The maximum continuous use time is 2 to 12 hours.

Power is provided by a 1400mAh lithium-ion battery. Charging time is approximately 3 hours, and a USB Type-C cable (approx. 60 cm) for charging is included.

There are three ways to install the standard size: placing it, clipping it with a clip, or hanging it with a carabiner (hook). The size is considerably more compact than an indoor circulator (height: approx. 18 cm, weight: approx. 500 g), and the company hopes that it will be used as a spot fan not only indoors in bedrooms and kitchens, but also outdoors in camping tents and overnight stays in cars.

Airflow can be switched between 4 levels (light to strong). It has an off timer of 15/30 minutes, which is convenient for short periods of time before bedtime or for short periods of use.

It is powered by a 4000mAh lithium-ion battery with up to 4-19 hours of continuous use. A USB Type-C cable (approx. 1 m) is included for charging, and the charging time is 3.5 hours.
