Naoki Wakabayashi’s Travel Photo Gallery] Spring at Mother Farm (Chiba Prefecture)

Spring is the season of cherry blossoms, tulips, and rape blossoms. At Mother Farm, fields of rape blossoms bloom from mid-February to late April, delighting visitors for a long period of time.

Seeing the yellow rape blossoms all over the field will bring a smile to anyone’s face and make for a pleasant time. If you are lucky enough to be there when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, it is even better, but if you just take care of the weather, you should be able to see a wonderful field of rape blossoms even without the cherry blossoms.

Here you can meet sheep, goats, cows, horses, alpacas, pigs, and a variety of small animals, and there are also events throughout the year and events where you can meet baby sheep in the spring.

There are many events, including a sheep dog sheep leading show, a sheep show, and a piglet race. Even if you take action according to the time of the events, it is difficult to see everything. If you get tired, you may want to take advantage of the buses that tour the grounds. Since this is a hilly area, I took the bus twice to make myself comfortable.

For access, there is a direct bus service from Kimitsu Station and a local bus from Sanuki-machi Station. By car, it takes about 15 minutes from the Kimitsu PA Smart IC. There are signs to guide you so you will not get lost.

Other plans are also available, such as those using the Tokyo Bay Ferry and a direct bus. Check the official website for more information.
