JR West has released the details of the San’in area excursion passes for fiscal 2026, which are sold through the “tabiwa by WESTER” website and application. In addition to the “San’in Nobiri Pass” and “Tottori Nobiri Pass,” the “Matsue Izumo Nobiri Pass” will replace the “Matsue Izumo tabiwa Gururin Pass” that was on sale until fiscal 2025. Both passes include unlimited rides on JR lines in the designated area, as well as admission tickets and coupons to tourist facilities along the lines.
San’in Nobiri Pass: A ticket that allows unlimited travel on JR lines within Tottori and Shimane prefectures (San’in Line to Masuda and Kisuki Line to Aburaki) for three days. The price will be raised to 5,000 yen (half price for children). This ticket does not include admission tickets to facilities along the line, but it comes with 9 kinds of coupons. In addition to the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine Ryugenji Temple walking tour (50 yen off the admission fee), which was continued from the previous year, five new facilities were added, including the Tottori Sand Dunes sightseeing lift (100 yen off round trip) and the Gurutto Matsue Horikawa Meguri (group fare applies). The package also includes the right to purchase “Tottori Tetsu Tabinosume Tottori Tetsu Eki Stamp Book” and “Tottori Tetsu Eki Stamp” with designs of each company’s train stations.
