Emergency Relief Aid for Victims of Cyclone Gezani in the Republic of Madagascar – Supplies

In response to a request from the government of the Republic of Madagascar for assistance for damage caused by Cyclone Gezani, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will provide emergency relief supplies as follows.

On February 10, 2026, Cyclone Gezani made landfall in Madagascar, crossing the northern interior of the country and causing extensive human and property damage in the affected areas.

Deaths: 62

Injured 804 people

Affected 426,906 people

Missing: 13 people

Evacuees 15,948

Collapsed houses 25,049

2. details of the provision of supplies

(1) Emergency relief supplies (for JICA Dubai warehouse)
