Universal Studios Japan will hold its 25th anniversary special event “Universal Cars and Stars Collection” from March 4, and held an advance photo session for the media on March 3.
The event will feature famous cars from Universal movies such as the time machine from “Back to the Future,” the fire truck from “Backdraft,” the Bluesmobile from “The Blues Brothers,” and the 1932 classic car from “American Graffiti.”
In addition, special daily meet and greets will be held by Doc Brown of Back to the Future and brothers Jake and Elwood of the Blues Brothers (the Blues Brothers meet and greet will begin March 27).
Doc Brown appeared in front of the time machine and asked the media, “Are you all from the future?” and called out to them. He opened and closed the door of the time machine, waved, and did lots of camera service.
Brothers Jake and Elwood appeared next. Jake introduced himself in Japanese by saying his name and then pointing to the left side of the room and saying, “This is Elwood.
The event will be held in front of the Hollywood Area Annual Pass Center. The Time Machine and Dr. Doc Brown will return for the first time in about 10 years since May 2016, and the Police Car and Jake & Elwood will return for the first time in about 17 years since 2009.
