Mitsubishi Estate and five other companies announced the completion on March 31 of “The Landmark Nagoya Sakae,” a development in Nishiki 3-chome, Naka-ku, Nagoya City, and the opening of a retail and cinema complex on June 11.

The tallest building in the Sakae area at approximately 211m, directly connected to Sakae Station on the Higashiyama and Meijo Subway Lines, houses offices (12-30F), the Conrad Nagoya (10/11F, 31-40F), the first brand hotel in the Tokai area, and TOHO Cinemas Nagoya Sakae (5-9F), the first cinema complex in Sakae area. The commercial zone “HAERA” will be located in the Sakae area. In the commercial zone “HAERA” (B2F – 4F), a total of 65 stores will open, including fashion and gourmet stores. The opening date of the hotel will be announced separately as soon as it is determined.

TOHO CINEMAS Nagoya Sakae, with a total of 10 screens and 1655 seats, is the first theater in the Tokai area to introduce the “Premium Theater,” popular for its high-quality, upscale movie experience, and the “Roaring Sound Theater,” with its powerful sound technology that makes you feel as if you are in a live concert hall. The “IMAX Laser,” IMAX’s next-generation screening system that employs a 4K laser projection system and 12-channel sound system, will be introduced for the first time in the Sakae area.

They will offer a varied lineup of screenings, including films of various genres, as well as live viewing of concerts, plays, and sports.

HAERA, a commercial facility by J. Front Retailing Group, is a luxury mall created by Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Store and PARCO, with a total lineup of 65 stores, including flagship stores of world-leading brands. In addition to fashion and lifestyle, it also features restaurants and sweets covering everything from high-grade to casual scenes, and some stores will be making their first appearance in the Tokai area.

A rooftop plaza and grand staircase will be created on the 4th and 5th floors, creating a lively space where HAERA, TOHO Cinemas, and Hisaya-odori Park will come together. The majority of the plaza will have artificial grass so that visitors can relax and enjoy the view of Hisaya-odori Park while shopping or watching a movie.
