NEXCO East Japan “Highway Maple” launched in April; web and paper maps produced; “Highway Walker” discontinued

NEXCO East Japan and NEXCO East Japan Area Tract will launch a new website “Highway Maple” on April 20 to provide information on SAs and PAs.

The company is collaborating with Shobunsha, which has been involved in the “Mapuru” brand since the road atlas “Mapuru” was first published in 1984 and “Mapuru Magazine” in 1989. Shobunsha’s long-cultivated expertise in editing maps and sightseeing guides and NEXCO East Japan’s knowledge of SA/PAs will be utilized to provide useful information for travel planning and stopover considerations.

The website features content to meet a wide range of needs, including the latest news on SA/PAs, noteworthy events, souvenirs, and gourmet information, as well as recommended driving courses by season and driving guides to help even novice drivers enjoy expressway driving with peace of mind. Content can be searched by area, theme, keyword, and other criteria.

In addition, “Highway Maple SA/PA Guide Map,” which includes a map of eastern Japan and SA/PA operating information, will be distributed at SA/PAs from mid-April. The PDF data can be viewed on the “Highway Mapuru” website.
