Iwatani Corporation has released a new matte black color for its Cassette Gas Smokeless Yakiniku Grill “Yakimaru Slim” that reduces smoke and oil splashes. The product will be sold exclusively through online stores such as Iwatani iCollect, Iwatani Outdoor Shop BASE, Rakuten Ichiba, and Amazon.
The Yakimaru Slim model incorporates a new “water plate with guard” structure. The 4.7cm-high guard surrounding the plate reduces oil splatter from grilled meat and keeps the unit and table clean.
Also, as with conventional products, the plate surface temperature can be controlled to approximately 210-250°C through a unique structure that suppresses smoky flames by dropping oil into a water dish below the plate. While using direct heat, the smokiness of meat fat caused by overheating can be suppressed.
The main unit has been slimmed down by devising the shape and placement of the burners, so it can be used without feeling oppressive on the dining table, even with the oil splash guard attached.
It measures 319 x 279 x 149 mm (W x D x H). It can be used for cooking other than grilled meat, such as steak, grilled seafood, and samgyeopsal.
