JR East submits notification of discontinuation of the Kururi Line between Kururi Station and Joso Kameyama Station as of March 9.

On March 9, JR East notified the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of the discontinuation of its railroad business between Kururi Station and Joso Kameyama Station on the Kururi Line, in accordance with Article 28-2 of the Railway Business Act.

On December 22, 2025, an alternative bus service plan was reported at a transportation conference consisting of local governments and other organizations along the route.

The company will pay for the operation and operation of the replacement bus for 18 years, and will discuss the details with Kimitsu City in the future.
