Relax and play at the new resort in Izu Akazawa Onsen! Enjoy the day spa/spa/leisure facilities at “Pleasure Resort Izu Akazawa Onsen”.

A day spa facility where you can relax throughout the day with an open-air bath (infinity hot spring) with a panoramic view of the sea and sky, “Umi no Nekorobi Lounge,” warm-water bath, Thai massage, and more.

Hours of operation are 10:00-22:00 (last admission at 21:00). Free for all guests of Akazawa Onsen Hotel and Geihinkan, and only free admission for guests of RED28 HOTEL. It is also available for use before and after check-in.

Whole building use (lounge and warm baths on the 2nd floor and basement level are also available)

Weekdays: Adults 2,500 yen, children 1,200 yen

Weekends and holidays: Adults 2,800 yen, children 1,500 yen

Includes indoor clothes and rental towels.

The Yura restaurant on the first floor, which can be used without an entrance fee, offers an extensive menu ranging from seafood rice bowls and sushi to tempura, soba noodles, set meals such as pork cutlets and hamburgers, ramen, a la carte dishes, and sweet treats such as soft ice cream and pudding. It is recommended not only for after bathing, but also for lunch, café time, or lunchtime drinks before or after check-in.

Also on the first floor is a store selling Izu specialties, souvenirs, and onsen goods. There are also many bottled and canned alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, and the reporter enjoyed a “WASABI Ginger Ale” (280 yen) after her bath.

It is said that wasabi from Shizuoka’s Tamaruya Honten is used, and it tastes like a dry ginger ale with the aroma of wasabi. It was so good that I would order it again if it were available at an izakaya, so if you can’t drink alcohol but want a refreshing carbonated beverage, please give it a try.

The first and second basement floors are areas for hotel guests or users of the entire building only. The first basement floor has a “warm bath” and a “play lounge” where visitors can refresh themselves by sweating in a warm and comfortable space without strain. In addition to cooling down in the lounge, some seats are equipped with power outlets so that you can charge your smartphone or PC.

The store also offers “Thai massage,” which relieves stiffness by stretching the entire body and pressing pressure points. Hours are from 10:00 to 21:00 (last admission at 20:00), and prices include 60-minute body massage for 7,590 yen.

The 2nd floor “Umi no Nekorobi Lounge” is a relaxing space inspired by the sea and forest. Approximately 6,000 comic books and magazines are available, as well as tablet terminals for use with YouTube and video streaming services.

There are various types of seating in the room, including sofas and counter seats for one or two people, tables for groups, and “okomori boxes” that are perfect for snuggling up in.
