The Secretariat of the Headquarters for International Expositions, Cabinet Secretariat, will hold the “Osaka-Kansai Expo Memorial Caravan: Connecting Expos to the Future” in four cities in Japan (Tokyo, Fukuoka, Sapporo, and Sendai) in succession, with a departure ceremony held on February 19 at the Tokyo venue, where Deputy Director General Manabu Inoue handed a memorial flag to Myakmyak.
The Expo Mirai Tsunagu Exhibition was planned not only to broaden the appeal of the Expo to those who were unable to visit the Expo, but also to allow the more than 29 million visitors to experience the excitement of the event again.
At the venue, there will be a “EXPO2025 360° Theater,” a VR video experience that includes the inside of the Expo pavilion, a “Myakmyak House” business trip version filled with Myakmyak attractions, and a “Stamp Rally” (5 locations in total) with a limited number of novelty items.
Visitors can also enjoy a 5.5-meter model of the large roof ring, a costume display, a “Photo Exhibition – 184 Days of Trajectories” that looks back on the excitement and excitement from the opening to the closing of the festival, and the “World Myakmyak Exhibition” featuring approximately 100 Myakmyak figures arranged in unique ways by the staff and others involved in the festival.
In addition, official licensed goods will be sold at the official pop-up store of Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai, and a promotion booth for GREENxEXPO 2027 (International Gardening Exposition 2027) to be held in Yokohama in 2027 will also be set up.
A meet and greet with Myakmyak, the official character of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, and Tunku, the official mascot of GREENxEXPO 2027, will be held at each site (advance lottery only; applications will be closed).
Admission is free, and numbered tickets will be distributed at the venue on the day of the event for the VR video experience and the official pop-up store.
