Sakiyoken’s “Shiomai Lunchbox” is now available as a puzzle supplement! The latest issue of Shogakusei 8th grade

On November 28, Shogakukan released a magazine for all elementary school grades, “Shogakukan Special January ‘8th Grade’ Kami Appendix yo Eternal! issue” for all elementary school grades. It is priced at 1,400 yen.

The highlight is a paper puzzle appendix of the Yokohama specialty “shioumai bento” thoroughly supervised by Sakiyo-ken. The puzzle is a three-dimensional puzzle in which various side dishes and rice are combined to complete the bento, and the string and wrapping paper are identical to the real thing.

The magazine also introduces how “shiomai bento,” said to be the best-selling ekiben in Japan, is made, along with trivia that even adults don’t know.

The latest issue also comes with three other items: a “Panda Memory,” in which you can enjoy a game of neurasthenia using cards of 10 pandas that used to be in Japan, and a “Hasureu Gift Box,” a paper reproduction of HANAYAMA’s popular “Hasureu” product, in which you see if you can successfully remove the card like a puzzle ring of wisdom.

Special feature articles include “Doraemon the Movie: New Nobita’s Undersea Oniwashiro Castle,” the second season of the TV animation “Sougou no Freelen,” and “Detective Conan: Ai Haibara’s Science Cooking,” in which the challenge of making chocolate and candy with the power of bubbles is presented.
