Richmond Hotel Asakusa revamps its interior with Japandi design. Japanese and Scandinavian design harmonize in the space.

RNT Hotels will reopen the Richmond Hotel Asakusa (2-7-10 Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo) on December 1.

The hotel has a total of 128 guest rooms (moderate, corner moderate, twin, universal twin, and comfort twin) and is located a 3-minute walk from Asakusa Station on the Tsukuba Express, an 8-minute walk from Asakusa Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, and a 9-minute walk from Asakusa Station on the Toei Asakusa Line.

Against the backdrop of a recovery in inbound demand, the entire building was renovated. The lobby on the first floor features a lantern lattice, symbolizing Asakusa’s lighting culture, and artwork using the Ichimonji blurring technique. Komatsu stone, which is also used in Sensoji Temple, and a black leather-like finish will be used as materials.

The guest rooms are based on Scandinavian taste with oak wood as a base, wallpaper and art incorporating Japanese paper, and chairs and fabrics with a black color scheme. The rooms are designed to harmonize Japanese and Scandinavian styles in a relaxed atmosphere.

On the first floor, “Wa Nagomi Café & Dining” has been reopened. It will offer a buffet breakfast with a wide variety of Japanese dishes.

In addition, a lounge service is now available for hotel guests. Guests who bring the welcome drink coupon given to them upon check-in will receive a free soft drink at “Wa Nagomi Café & Dining”.
