Kochi’s first APA Hotel to open in March 2026. 260 rooms in two buildings, all non-smoking.

APA Hotel will open APA Hotel in March 2026.

The hotel will sign a franchise agreement with Kochi Palace Hotel to rebrand the company’s Kochi Palace Hotel (1-18 Hatsukushiro-cho, Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture). This is the first APA Hotel to open a branch in Kochi Prefecture.

Located a 7-minute walk from the south exit of JR Kochi Station, the hotel will add 3 rooms to the existing main building and the non-smoking building to make them completely non-smoking. 260 guest rooms in total in the two buildings.

The guestrooms feature standard “new urban hotel” specifications, including wall-mounted TVs, APA’s original “Cloud fit” beds, ceiling lights with special attention to brightness, a good-night switch that turns all lighting on and off at once, AC outlets, and a USB charging port (USB Type-A/C). The bedside controller is integrated with an AC outlet and USB charging port (USB Type-A/C).

Toyoko Inn is also scheduled to open in Kochi in February 2026, and APA Hotel’s release stated, “Kochi City has announced a series of plans for hotel chains to open in the area, and we will be the first in the prefecture with the largest number of rooms in the area.
