Keisei Electric Railway plans a new limited express train from Oshiage to Narita Airport and a dedicated line for the Skyliner. Travel time will be in the upper 20-minute range at the fastest.

On February 13, Keisei Electric Railway unveiled part of the design image of a new toll express scheduled to begin service between Oshiage Station and Narita Airport Station in FY2028, and also announced a draft plan for a new line dedicated to the express and Skyliner.

The maximum speed of the new toll express is planned to be 160 km/h, and the time required between Oshiage Station and Airport Terminal 2 Station will be reduced from approximately 50 minutes for the current access express to the low 30-minute range at the fastest. The overall design, mode of operation, nickname, etc. will be announced in stages.

In addition to the double-tracking of the Narita Airport area (Narita Yukawa Station to Narita Airport Station), which is currently a single-track line, studies have begun on the construction of a new line (double-double track) for a section of the Narita Sky Access Line (Shin-Kamagaya Station to Inba Nippon Medical University Station).

The new line will have a maximum speed of 160 km/h and will be dedicated to the Skyliner and the new toll limited express trains, which will enable an increase in the number of general trains, such as the Hokuso Line and the Access Express, as well as each of these trains.

As a result of the new line construction, the travel time is expected to be in the low 30-minute range between Nippori Station and Airport Terminal 2 Station for the Skyliner and in the low 20-minute range between Oshiage Station and Airport Terminal 2 Station for the new toll limited express, respectively.
