In November 2025, flooding in several areas of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka caused numerous casualties and property damage.
In light of this, JICA will dispatch a survey team consisting of four members, including medical personnel and JICA staff, to Sri Lanka to confirm the local disaster situation and medical needs.
The research team is scheduled to depart Japan on Sunday, November 30 and arrive in Sri Lanka the same day.
