JAL to open “JAL Auberge Furano,” a restaurant where guests can stay overnight, in winter 2026. Supervision by Michelin star Makoto Ishii.

JAL, in collaboration with the town of Nakafurano in Hokkaido and Nichido, will open JAL Auberge Furano in December 2026 (planned), combining local resources with the JAL brand. construction began in October 2025, and the website is scheduled to open and sales to begin around June 2026.

JAL Auberge Furano is a new project based on the collaboration agreement signed between Nakafurano Town and JAL in July 2023. Auberge is a so-called “restaurant where you can stay overnight” that combines “food” and “lodging” experiences. The facility will offer a new experience of staying in Nakafurano, where visitors can taste the town’s nature and food through all five senses.

The guest rooms will be designed in harmony with nature and culture, with mini-kitchens, and will be a total of 10 rooms (over 50m2). The restaurant will be under the supervision of one Michelin star chef Makoto Ishii, and will be served by chef Shotaro Tani, a native of Furano.
