Intensive construction work on the Isewan Coastal Highway at the upstream Tokai JCT – Tobishima JCT and the downstream Toyoake IC – Tobishima IC. Two lanes will be restricted day and night for a part of the day and night.

NEXCO Central Japan, Nagoya Branch will implement continuous day and night lane restrictions, nighttime road closures, nighttime lane restrictions, and continuous day and night IC/JCT closures during the intensive construction work between Tokai JCT and Tobishima JCT (uphill) and between Toyoake IC and Tobishima IC (downhill) on the Ise Bay Coast Highway. The period is from midnight on February 22, 2026 to 06:00 on March 19, 2026.

On the route between Toyoake IC and Meiko Chuo IC (downhill), one lane will be restricted continuously day and night from midnight on February 22, 2026 to 6:00 am on March 12, 2026 (two lanes from 6:00 am on February 23 to 6:00 am on March 4, 2026). The number of travel lanes will be reduced from three to two (one lane during the same period), and traffic congestion of up to 19 km is forecasted, so drivers are urged to detour to the Tomei Expressway, Meishin Expressway, Nagoya Second Loop Expressway, or Nagoya Expressway, or use public transportation.

During the construction period, if you avoid the restricted section between Toyoake IC and Tobishima IC (off-ramp) and divert to Tomei, Meijikan, Nagoya Expressway, or Tomeihan Expressway, and the tolls are higher than those for direct access, the tolls will be adjusted to the same amount as those for direct access (ETC vehicles only).
