Casio Computer Co., Ltd. will release a new EDIFICE wristwatch, the ECB-2300HR-1AJR, a collaboration model commemorating the 60th anniversary of Honda’s first F1 victory, on March 1, 2026. The price is 66,000 yen.
To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Honda RA272’s first victory in the F1 Mexican Grand Prix on October 24, 1965, authentic “championship white” paint is used for the first time on the bezel, an exterior part that can be touched by hand. A vivid red circle around the outer circumference of the dial represents the Japanese flag design on the RA272’s chassis.
The gold metal ring is decorated with the message “Veni, Vidi, Vici.” (I came, I saw, I won) and the car number “11” that was transmitted to the headquarters from the local site, and on the back of the band on the sword tip side, a drawing of a 1.5-liter V12 engine, an unusual graphic design at the time, is designed. The back of the band on the sword-tip side features a graphic drawing of a 1.5 liter V12 engine, an unusual design for the time. The materials used are a combination of nappa leather and ultra-suede, combining texture and durability.
The in-dial at the 9 o’clock position is represented by a tachometer analogous to that of the RA272. The shape of the hands, the font, and even the red zone details have been reproduced to recreate the atmosphere of the actual watch. The back of the watch is laser-engraved with the original logo, creating a special feel unique to the anniversary model.
In terms of functions, the watch is equipped with Tough Solar, which is powered by the sun or fluorescent light, automatic time correction via Bluetooth, world time, and Super Illuminator, making it a highly practical watch.
