The Air Self-Defense Force Tsukijo Air Base (Nishi-Hatta, Tsukiage-cho, Tsukiage-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture) will hold the 2025 Tsukijo Air Base Air Festival on November 30, from 8:00 to 15:00.
The Blue Impulse, a professional team of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, will perform aerobatics over the venue from 11:35 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The U-125A, UH-60J, F-15J, F-2, and GSDF OH-1 will fly displays, and the Whiskey Dad (Extra EA 300) will fly a competition aerobatic flight.
On the ground, there will be aircraft and equipment exhibits, a “Kids Car” operation for elementary school students and younger, fancy drills (performances) by aviation students, and food and goods for sale in the store area.
To get there, it is about a 7-minute walk from JR Chikushiro Station to the construction gate at the entrance. It is approximately 1.1 km to the main venue (aircraft ground display area), but the time required may be more than one hour during busy times.
JR Kyushu will operate temporary trains on the Nippo Main Line. On the day of the festival, 44 regular express trains will make a temporary stop at Chikkyo Station from 7:00 to 17:00 (based on Chikkyo Station), and 45 special local trains will operate between Kokura and Yukuhashi Stations and Ujima and Nakatsu Stations. For details, please refer to the “Timetable by Station” on the official website.
Five temporary parking lots and three temporary bicycle parking lots will be available outside the base. Nishitetsu Bus Kitakyushu will operate a temporary shuttle bus service (for a fee) between the Chikki Base and the surrounding parking lots, and a shuttle bus service (free of charge) between the temporary parking lots and the nearest stations (Ujima Station and Kanda Station) in the Ujima and Kanda areas.
Traffic regulations will be enforced around Chikki Air Base on the day before and on the day of the Air Festival. Details will be announced on the Chikki Air Base official website.
