JR Kyushu will operate the “Cupo-chan Wrapping Bus” from February 14 and the “Cupo-chan Wrapping Train” from February 28.
Qupo-chan is the official character of JR Kyushu’s point service, JR Qupo, and is a “fairy who aims to be an influencer. This time, a wrapped car will appear to commemorate the establishment of the “JR Cupo Wakuwaku Program,” a membership ranking system.
The “Cupo-chan Wrapping Bus” will be operated on the “Phoenix” express bus (Fukuoka – Miyazaki route) and other routes. The red bus body will have a large drawing of Cupo-chan’s face on the sides and rear of the bus, and illustrations of local specialties such as ramen noodles and mangoes will also be used. The bus will be in operation for about one year from February 14.
The “Cupo-chan Wrapping Train” will use Series 811 trains (4-car formation), painted in two colors, red and white, with many Cupo-chan designs on the sides. Decorations will also be placed inside the train at the couplings and next to the doors. The train will be in operation year-round from February 28, mainly between Mojiko Station and Arao Station on the Kagoshima Main Line.
