IHG Hotels & Resorts announced on December 18 the construction of a new triple-branded large-scale hotel in the area adjacent to Universal Studios Japan. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2029.
The InterContinental, Kimpton, and Holiday Inn Resort, with a total of 817 rooms, are located along the river adjacent to USJ and a 10-minute boat/car ride from the IR (integrated resort) that will open on the site of Expo ’70 Kansai in Osaka.
