JR West unifies its paid seating service with “SUWALOCA

JR West announced the unification of its paid seating service under a new brand, SUWALOCA.

The new service will combine the existing “A Seat” and “Ureshito,” which are mainly for Kintetsu Toshimobo, and the “Raku Raku Series” commuter express services under one name, and a dedicated SUWALOCA page will be opened (starting February 7) to facilitate smooth reservations.

While the service itself will remain unchanged, limited express, commuter limited express, and A-seat trains will be positioned as “SUWALOCA Standard” with reclining seats, power outlets (some trains), and Wi-Fi service (some trains), and Ureshito will be positioned as “SUWALOCA Light” with reasonable fares, Sub-brands will be established.

The mascot characters “Suwa” and “Roka” were created to unify the SUWALOCA name. The mascots, “Swa” and “Roka,” will communicate the appeal of SUWALOCA’s services through their friendly interactions.
