Kintetsu Miyako Hotels announces plans for lodging facilities in the former precincts of Todaiji Temple. Opening in the fall of 2028.

Todaiji Temple and Kintetsu Miyako Hotels have announced plans to build an accommodation facility in a corner of the historic site “Todaiji Temple Old Precincts. Construction will begin in January 2027.

Located a 10-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station and adjacent to Nara Park, the hotel is planned to have low-rise buildings dispersed and arranged in consideration of cultural assets and historical sites. The number of guest rooms is planned to be around 25. The hotel will have a restaurant and a tea ceremony room, and will offer cuisine that incorporates local ingredients and a facility where guests can experience traditional Japanese culture.

This is the third lodging facility operated by Kintetsu Miyako Hotels in Nara City.
