The “Yuki-no-Hamanasu” temporary limited express train runs between Sapporo and Asahikawa, bound for Furano. Running on January 31 and February 1 when ski resort events are held.

JR Hokkaido will operate a temporary limited express “Yuki-no-Hamanasu-go” between Sapporo and Asahikawa Stations on January 31 and February 1.

This train operates via the Nemuro and Furano Lines, bound for Furano Station. The down train (bound for Asahikawa) departs Sapporo Station at 7:41 a.m., arriving at Furano Station at 9:42 a.m. and Asahikawa Station at 10:38 a.m. The up train (bound for Sapporo) departs Asahikawa Station at 14:06, leaves Furano Station at 15:24, and arrives at Sapporo Station at 17:22.

The train will be a four-car Kiha 261 Series Hamanasu formation, and all seats will be reserved. Ekinet also offers “Tokyu Tokudate Value 1,” which offers a discount of three off for a combined ticket and limited express ticket (limited number of seats, purchase up to one day prior to use).

Since the Furano bonchi powder festival will be held at the Furano ski resort on the day of operation, the company proposes visitors to take the train.

This train also serves as a research and demonstration project conducted by the Nemuro Main Line Task Force consisting of JR Hokkaido and local governments. Between Takikawa and Furano stations on the down train, local residents will distribute snacks along the line.
