OPUS, an aluminum suitcase that can track your location; compatible with both Android and iPhone; more extensive detection than AirTag

And Creator has released an aluminum suitcase with real-time location tracking from OPUS, a travel brand specializing in metal materials. The company is accepting pre-orders on its official website, with shipping scheduled for late February to late March 2026.

It features a standard tracking function that is compatible with both Apple’s “Find My” and Google’s “Find Hub” (find your device), and is said to be the first aluminum suitcase in the industry to include this function.

In general, metal materials such as aluminum have a tendency to block Bluetooth radio waves, but this product employs a unique tracking design. Compared to a commercially available AirTag placed inside the case, the communication range has been successfully extended by approximately 10m or more (35m or more outdoors and 16m or more indoors).

This allows users to check the current location of their suitcases in real time from their own smartphones, even during connections at the airport or in the unlikely event of a problem. The device also has a function to play sound from the main unit when operated from a smartphone, making it ideal for use in theft prevention.
