Rakuten Travel is holding “Rakuten Travel New Year Fair” until January 9, 2012, offering special deals on winter and spring travel reservations. Hotels and hot spring resorts nationwide are discounted up to 15% when combined with a coupon, and a coupon for up to 15,000 yen off can be applied to “Raku Pack,” a set of transportation and lodging.
Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Ikaho (592-1, Ikaho, Shibukawa, Gunma Prefecture), an inn in the elegant Ikaho hot spring resort, is now offering a basic buffet plan with two meals per night. Prices start at 14,600 yen (per person based on double occupancy).
The hotel is within walking distance of Ishidan-gai, the symbol of the hot spring resort area, and offers two of Ikaho’s most famous hot springs, the iron-rich “golden hot spring” and the soft “silvery hot spring”.
In addition to a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese menus, the menu includes local delicacies such as seared roasted Gunma pork, Gunma maitake mushroom tempura, Jyoshu gourmet pork sukiyaki, and “Okirikomi Udon” with its wide chewy noodles. Seasonal menus, desserts, and Haagen-Dazs ice cream will also be available for all-you-can-eat.
In addition, guests can freely enjoy drinks, including alcohol, at dinner and in the newly built premium lounge and hot spring lounge.
