Odakyu will operate a special train bound for Katase Enoshima on New Year’s Day, 2026. The “New Year Express” will also be offered.

Odakyu Electric Railway will operate a special train in the direction of Enoshima Line on New Year’s Day, 2026. This is aimed at people viewing the first sunrise of the year and visiting the Enoshima/Kamakura area for the first time.

On the down train (bound for Katase-Enoshima), there will be one extra train each departing Machida and Sagami-Ono Stations at 4:00 a.m. bound for Katase-Enoshima. The express trains departing from Sagamiono Station at 5:30 and 6:06 a.m. for Fujisawa will be extended to Katase Enoshima, and the 5:30 a.m. service will depart from Shinyurigaoka (stopping at each station until Sagamiono).

On the up train (bound for Sagami-Ono), there will be one each of the temporary local train bound for Sagami-Ono and Fujisawa departing from Katase-Enoshima Station at 5:00 a.m. The two rapid express trains that normally depart from Katase-Enoshima at 6:00 a.m. will be extended to depart from Fujisawa. The two 6:00 a.m. rapid express trains that normally depart from Fujisawa will be extended to depart from Katase Enoshima.

In addition, the express Romance Car “New Year Express” will make one round trip between Shinjuku and Katase Enoshima Stations. The down train departs from Shinjuku Station at 4:50 pm and arrives at Katase Enoshima Station at 6:13 pm, and the up train departs from Katase Enoshima Station at 7:32 pm and arrives at Shinjuku Station at 8:47 pm. Both trains use the “EXE” 10-car train.

From December 30 to January 2, trains will operate on a Saturday and holiday schedule. There will be no all-night service through New Year’s Day.
