New Tokyo Tokorozawa Line to open to traffic on February 14, 2026 for approximately 1.6 km from Kiyose Bridge to Shin-Koganei Kaido

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will open to traffic on the No. 2 New Tokyo Tokorozawa Line at Higashimurayama 3, 4, and 15, approximately 1.6 km from Shin-Koganei Kaido in Kiyose City to the Tokorozawa City border in Saitama Prefecture at 15:00 on February 14, 2026.

Of the Higashimurayama Urban Planning Road No. 3, 4, and 15, No. 2 Shin-Tokyo Tokorozawa Route (approximately 2.2 km long), the Kiyosebashi section (Kiyosebashi to Keyaki-dori, approximately 0.9 km) and the Kamishiyodo section (Keyaki-dori to Shin-Koganei-kaido, approximately 0.7 km) were constructed, while the remaining Nakashiyodo section (Shin-Koganei-kaido to the Niiza City border, approximately 0.6 km) is still The remaining Nakashirido section (Shinkoganei Kaido to Niiza City border, approx. 0.6 km) is still under construction.

The construction of this section is expected to ease traffic congestion on Koganei Kaido and divert traffic flowing into residential areas.
