Manyoken, a long-established ekiben brand in Chiba Prefecture operated by REEI, has renewed its “Rape Blossom Bento” to coincide with the 60th anniversary of its launch. The price is 988 yen.
The vivid coloring of the dish, which evokes a field of rape blossoms, Chiba Prefecture’s prefectural flower, has been retained, but the texture has been made more satisfying and easier to eat by enlarging the size of the sole and removing the skewer from the tsukudani (tsukudani) of scallion from the Ikadayaki Honpo Shojo restaurant. In addition, the “pickled rape blossoms” were used as a garnish instead of “haririzuke” and “green perilla seeds,” to give the dish a more “Chiba-like” composition.
In addition to the nanohana bento, the “Tonkatsu Nanohana Bento” (1,111 yen), which includes tonkatsu (pork cutlet), is also available. Both items are available at “Manyoken Perie Chiba Ekinaka Store” (Perie Chiba Ekinaka, 1-1-1 Shin-Chiba, Chuo-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture).
