JTA Seeks Reservation Cancellations on Miyako-Tarama Route. Crowding makes it difficult to secure seats for islanders, and the Life Status 2x campaign is no longer applicable.

JTA (Japan Transocean Airways) is seeking to cancel reservations for flights to be flown by February 28 due to the difficulty of making new reservations for the Miyako-Tarama route.

The company states, “We are making every effort to secure enough seats, such as by offering extra flights, but it is still difficult to make reservations, and we are trying to secure enough seats to meet the needs of residents.

Users who are eligible for cancellation will be notified via their registered e-mail addresses. If the cancellation is made through this notice, no cancellation fee will be charged; however, if the cancellation is made through the website, a fee will be charged, so we request that the cancellation be made via e-mail.

On the said route, islanders have been experiencing difficulties in making reservations due to a series of reservations for the “Double Life Status Point Campaign” in which they can earn double Life Status points as usual. Therefore, as a measure to prevent congestion, boarding results for the Miyako-Tarama route will not be eligible for the campaign until February 28; reservations made on or after February 3 will be eligible, and those made by February 2 will be eligible for the campaign even if they are boarded during February.
