HIS to test low-speed electric mobility service to “Atami Plum Garden” to enjoy Atami in early spring; public trial available on February 3-5

HIS will operate a low-speed electric vehicle (Green Slow Mobility) on a trial basis from late January to early February to tour the Atami Plum Garden (8-11 Umezonocho, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture) and other areas as a new sightseeing experience in Atami, where “the earliest plum and cherry blossoms in Japan can be seen in competition”.

It is based on an agreement with Atami City regarding the promotion of inbound tourism, and is basically sold as a tour product for inbound visitors. The objective is not only to improve accessibility, but also to provide a mobile experience that responds to the topography of Atami, which has many steep slopes.

The inbound plan includes a tour of the Atami Plum Garden and MOA Museum of Art on January 26 and 30, and a tour of Kiunkaku on January 29 and 30.

On the other hand, as a free, no-reservation required experience offered to the general public, “Cherry Blossom and Plum Blossom Viewing Experience (Guided)” is also available! Hanami Experience (with a guide)” is also available to the general public, free of charge and without reservations. This tour operates five round trips a day between the Atami City Hall and the Atami Plum Garden from February 3 to 5. Since the capacity is limited to four people, numbered tickets will be distributed 30 minutes prior to departure, and passengers are asked to refrain from taking the round-trip ride.

In the future, the company plans to market the tour as a year-round tour, aiming to make green slow-mobility a tourist attraction.
