On January 27, the luxury hotel and ryokan reservation site Iryu.com released “AI Concierge,” an AI service that enables users to search for accommodations in a conversational style, exclusively for Iryu.com members.
Using the latest AI, the system is able to respond to complex and ambiguous requests that conventional search functions are unable to meet, and allows users to search for accommodations as if they were talking to a personal concierge.
For example, “Which hot spring resorts can I take my pet to within two hours from Tokyo on weekends?” The system will suggest the most suitable inn for each individual based on past reservations and search history from a carefully selected list of candidates.
The conversational style of interaction saves time in searching for accommodations by eliminating the need to combine and check multiple pieces of information. In addition, the AI answers are personalized according to the user’s preferences, making the system comfortable to use.
