JR Kyushu will increase the number of express trains stopping at Kutami Station on the Nippo Main Line in the timetable revision to be implemented on March 14, 2026. The purpose is to enhance the “Kutami Station Limited Express Route” to Kitakyushu Airport, based on user requests and usage conditions.
In particular, daytime and nighttime stops are being enhanced, with four new stops on the up train (Kokura direction) after 19:00. Although some trains will pass through during the revision, the number of daily stops will increase from the current 10 up and down to 16.
In addition, connection times with Nishitetsu Bus Kitakyushu’s Airport Bus will be improved so that they can be used in unison. Bus times will be announced in February.
The company will continue to consider the number and frequency of train stops based on usage.
