The long hot summer is over and autumn is rushing past. Before we know it, illumination lights are beginning to be turned on in various places in the guise of Christmas. Here in Tama Center, the 300-meter stretch of Parthenon Boulevard leading from the station to the Parthenon Tama cultural complex is decorated with illuminations, along with Hello Kitty Street, which connects to Sanrio Puroland.
When you head from Tama Center Station, you first pass through a tunnel reminiscent of a blue sea, beyond which 58 camphor trees are illuminated and various animal decorations shine brightly. It is a fantastic and very cute street illumination. At the intersection, there is a 12-meter tall centerland tree, which is also the main venue for the event.
The festival runs from November 15 to January 12, 2026, and uses approximately 400,000 light bulbs. The lighting hours are from 16:30 to 22:30 (Hello Kitty Balloon Illumination is open until 20:30), so you can drop by after work.
Access is within a 10-minute walk from Tama Center Station on the Keio Sagamihara Line, Odakyu Tama Line, and Tama Monorail. If you go by car, you will have no trouble as there are many coin-operated parking lots in the area. This is a recommended place for both date night and family fun.
