JAL to gradually renovate domestic lounges at Haneda Airport; North Wing to be closed from January to September 2026; JGC exclusive counters, etc. to be renovated

JAL will gradually renovate lounges, first class and JGC (JAL Global Club) exclusive facilities for domestic flights at Haneda Airport Terminal 1 starting in January 2026.

The Diamond Premier Lounge and Sakura Lounge will be temporarily closed in the North Wing starting January 13, 2026 and scheduled to open in October. The South Wing will be temporarily closed from October 2026 (after the renovation of the North Wing) and is scheduled to open in June 2027.

During the renewal period of the North Wing, passengers are encouraged to use the lounge in the South Wing. However, if the lounge is not available due to congestion, they will distribute coupons that can be used in the airport on the same day.

Congestion in the South Wing Lounge can be checked on the website from the start of the North Wing renewal (January 13, 2026), and “Entry Restricted” will be displayed when the lounge is crowded.

Coupons will be distributed at two locations in the North Wing between departure gates 15 and 16 (pick-up counter) or at the South Lounge Reception. The pick-up counter is open from 5:15 to 19:30, and coupons can be collected and redeemed until the departure time of the boarding flight on the same day. To receive the coupons, you will need to enter your smartphone, JMB account number, and password.

The First Class counter, JAL Global Club (JGC) entrance, and Diamond and JGC Premier security checkpoints will also be renewed in sequence. The closure period and opening date will be announced as soon as they are confirmed for the North Wing and South Wing, respectively.
