Three lanes of the Meishin Ichinomiya IC to Ichinomiya JCT off-ramp has been completed. Operation will begin at 4:00 a.m. on November 22.

NEXCO Central Japan Nagoya Branch announced that the construction of three lanes on the off-ramp of the Meishin Expressway between Ichinomiya IC and Ichinomiya JCT (about 2.7 km) has been completed and will start operation at 4:00 a.m. on November 22, 2012.

The construction of the three lanes is aimed at easing traffic congestion on both the upper and lower lanes, and the operation of the uplink lane began in September 2024. With the completion of the construction work on the down lane, the section will be able to operate with six lanes, which is expected to ease traffic congestion, reduce the number of traffic jams, shorten transit times, and make merging from the Ichinomiya Interchange smoother.

In the three-lane section, the width of the lanes and shoulders are narrower than usual, so drivers are urged to drive safely.
